We just love it when our clients have great things to say about us. Jennifer and I LOVE a little confidence booster. We just received this sweet little message from one of our past clients, Miss K!!! Thank you so much. Your letter makes Jennifer and I realize just how much fun we are having and how much we LOVE doing this job!

I’m a straight-laced wife and mother. My usual worries are about whether all the homework got done, who needs a diaper change, when I’ll be able to mop the floor, and whether my boss realizes that I just can’t quite make it to work on time. However, when I got a chance to do a photo shoot with Mandy and Jennifer of I Love Boudoir Photography, my priorities began to change. A photo shoot in my future pressed me to find time for the gym. I also reached for fruits and vegetables more often than cookies and pizza. These changes boosted my energy - I was able to finish my responsibilities even though I was taking time out for myself. In my quiet moments I wasn’t worrying about everyday life anymore, but instead I thought about my upcoming photographic adventure. I wondered what I would wear, what poses would be most flattering and more. These changes in thought made me feel much more womanly and less matriarchal. Next came shopping! I have never been good at it so shopping for lingerie was almost overwhelming, but I found my groove! As I pieced together outfit after outfit, I began to feel so sexy. So what if I didn’t have anywhere else to wear such sexy shoes, wearing them even once became exciting. Within the last hours before my photo shoot I set out my outfits. When they were all out I saw a light in my husband’s face that I haven’t seen before! After so many years together it’s rare to see something new. When I arrived at the photo shoot with nails done and eyebrows waxed I felt prettier already. I felt a little guilty for being away from my family but I knew that spending a few hours doing something that didn’t involve cheerios or piano practice would do wonders for me. I was also a little nervous about doing the photo shoot because it was so far out of my normal activities. When I met Mandy and Jennifer, I knew I had nothing to worry about. They were confident and I could tell that their confidence came from years of success as photographers. Mandy is also a licensed cosmetologist and she did my makeup before we began. She knew what would look best in the photos. Once I realized that she was so good with hair and makeup I knew that I wouldn’t have to worry about any of that through the photo shoot. This made me feel even more at ease. Jennifer set up for the photo shoot and went through my outfits to choose the ones that would photograph the best. I was surprised at her choices but her explanations made perfect sense. Mandy and Jennifer are true professionals. By the time we began the photo shoot, I had full confidence that they would take care of everything. They told me how to stand, how to put my hands, where to look, and what facial expressions were best. It took very little thought on my part because they knew what to do to make each photo amazing. I had a couple of ideas and they were able to use them and make them even better. If I could describe Mandy and Jennifer in one word, it would be ‘professional’. I thought it might be uncomfortable to do these photos meant for my husband in front of anyone, but Mandy and Jennifer turned sexy photos into a science. I could just relax and feel pretty while they took care of all the details. It has been a few weeks since I did the photo shoot. I have been tickled pink by all the good that has come of it. Surprisingly, I came out of the experience feeling much more valuable! The lifestyle changes it inspired have stuck! I’m still going to the gym and eating healthy because I feel so much better that way. It seems silly, but I put earrings on everyday now. It only takes ten seconds, and it reminds me that I’m pretty. I put on a little makeup everyday whether I’m going somewhere or not. I still have flaws in my figure, but I can ignore them and play up my strong points. Why not take what God gave me and do the most with it? If I ever feel yucky I can look at my photos and see how Mandy and Jennifer made art out of me. I feel like a pretty woman now. Mandy and Jennifer were respectful to me, they were direct and valued my time, and they are amazing photographers! I had a great time getting these photos. They made the experience really wonderful!

What to do to prepare for my big day!

All of our clients have the same questions, the same anxiety of their big day and the same excitement when their shoot is over. Jennifer and I do a great job of prepping you for your big day. We have a phone consultation to inform you of what to expect, what to wear, and how to relax. During your shoot we instruct you on your facial expressions, body positions and everyone is so bummed by the time the shoot is over. They are surprised at how well they were relaxed and how fun it really was.

I'm sure it helps that Jennifer and I can be really big dorks too. We are just two moms, doing what we love. And we love to kid around, we love to giggle and we love to make fun of ourselves.

We both believe that every girl should feel wonderful during her session. We don't care if you are a size 2 or 12 or 20. We want you to have the confidence you deserve to have and we want you to feel as sexy as you can. We wanted to help you out in preparing for your big day and give you some tips on what to do to prepare to get yourself in tip top shape for the big day. So it's not about making yourself a size 2 for the shoot, but making your own body the best it can be for you and your size. Feeling proud of your body and letting your sexy confidence shine through.

Also keep in mind these things are not required but it might be a helpful reminder of some things you'd like to do.

1. Tan. Whether you fake and bake or do a spray tan, bodies are always a little more flattering with some color to them. With that in mind we would prefer not to have any orange bodies from tanning too much or red bodies from laying out in the sun too long. Also keep a watch out for harsh tan lines.

2.Mani/Pedi. These are always great in making you feel relaxed but they also do wonders for the bottom of your feet and your hands. We occasionally will take some images of your wedding ring so close ups of your hands will look that much better after a manicure.

3. Diet and Exercise. Again we really want to stress the fact that we don't care that you are a size 2. We just want you to love your body so if that means eating a little bit more healthy a few weeks before or hitting the gym a few more days that is ok. Diet and Exercise always make us feel healthier as well. So get in a good workout the day before. Also watch the grease and fat intake the week of.

4. Shopping. We go over in great detail during your consultation of what to buy and bring for your session. But if you are thinking of booking your session it doesn't hurt to start buying your outfits. Just remember to keep them hidden so he doesn't find them :)

5.Get your Hair Did. You know that first day when you come out of the salon. Your hair is freshly trimmed and your roots are showing anymore. Your level of confidence just took a leap upward and we want you to feel that way with us. So make your appointment a few days before to make sure your hair is in tip top shape!

6. Speaking of hair, we don't want any extra hair and believe me you won't either when you see your pictures. So make sure you have a nice wax appointment set up before the big day. Make sure to do the eyebrows, lips, bikini area, and shave your legs, underarms and any other area hair should not be.

7.Other Salon Treatments. Although facials are wonderful way to relax and get your face feeling great, remember you also have to go through that awkward stage of breaking out a few days after the facial so maybe do it a few weeks before your photo session. We think massages are a great way for you to be relaxed. Make your appointment the day before, you'll feel wonderful!

We hope these few little tips and reminders will help you on your big day. We just want you to feel beautiful and proud of your body! We have done photo shoots for women of all ages, sizes, even a few ladies with a baby in their belly so don't feel like you aren't worth a great session like this! You deserve it!!

Ditch the workout and Join the Party!!

My new slogan for working out. My gym started Zumba classes a few months ago. I took one and was hooked. It has to be the most fun hour long workout you could ever possibly do. If you don't know what Zumba is, it's a mixture of Salsa, Mambo, Latin and Hip Hop Dancing all rolled into one crazy fun workout. The music is loud, your heart is pumping and you're burning fat.

I just thought I'd give you an idea of a fun way to loose those unwanted extra pounds before you schedule your session with us. Or if the extra pounds is what is keeping you from booking today, join a club to take the classes and burn the fat while having a good time!!

You can view everything you need to know about Zumba on their website. You can search for classes in your area, instructors that you like and adorable workout gear as well.

You can burn 500-800 calories in a Zumba class- hello, that will surely take care of those chocolate chip cookies you snuck in for lunch.

We believe all women's bodies are perfect just the way they are, but if you feel you need to drop a few pounds before you book with us- take my advice and at least do it the fun way! :)

Let me introduce you to Miss J! Hello Hello sexy mama!! She totally rocked this session. Our clients are not professional models and they don't look like this when they go to the grocery store. But it is so wonderful that not only do they look completely fabulous but afterwards they tell us what it does for them. They feel more confident with their bodies, their relationships are better with their man and they are proud of their bodies . Wouldn't you like to have these pictures at age 70 and show all your girlfriends playing Bingo that you looked like this. And you could even tell them that you went to the grocery store looking like this, even though we know you really didn't! :) It'll be our little secret.

Some women want to do a boudoir session with us but our little more reserved when it comes to us posting on our blog. We want you all to know that we are fine with that!! Absolutely. We respect your privacy and if you want only him to see these images, then that is all who will, well excluding me and Jennifer who take and edit your pictures.
Some women are more confident in allowing us to show off our work but if it's something you are afraid of, please don't let that stop you from getting the coolest boudoir session in town!!! All pictures that we have posted have had the client's full release and approval. Some clients are ok with us showing anything that doesn't have their face, which we are ok with. Showing beautiful bodies is what we do best.

Hey, by the way, there is only 93 days left until Christmas- can you imagine your man opening this gift up on Christmas morning. Believe me, you won't have to cook that Christmas ham or wash the dishes that day!! :) Book your session now before we are booked up.

I take a cardio kickboxing class every week. It's the most excruciating hour long class I've ever been through. In fact I think it's more painful than child birth. Our instructor, I'll call her - the devil, never takes a break and pushes our body so hard the whole hour I swear my legs are jello when I leave the gym. I come home and do my best to stay awake but I'd be lying if I told you I don't try and squeeze in a nap or two that day.
I secretly pretend her face is on the bag I'm hitting because it's the only thing that will get me through the class. I really shouldn't take it out on her, I think I'm just envious that she has this awesome toned body after having 4 kids and even though she is older than me, she has more energy than I do.
I wonder what her secret is....
Why do I put myself in such agony over and over every week? I guess in hopes that one day I'd be this tiny and have a cute little boudoir session.
So until then I guess I'll have to keep pretending to hit her face and drive home with jello legs.

Jennifer and I drove up to Miss M's house. We had never met her before and when she opened the door we were greeted with amazing blue eyes. We started to set up while she finished her make-up and hair, we broke out the wine to relax her a bit and pressed play on the ipod.
To Jennifer and I, shooting this is normal, we aren't nervous at all, we don't feel vulnerable but we do all we can to make sure the client feels the same way we do.
I try to imagine myself in their position and I'm sure I'd feel the same way, scared, and very exposed in wearing not so much. So Jennifer and I always try and say things we would want someone to say to us in that position to make us feel comfortable.
By the end of the session Miss M, was a pro and we hardly had to give her any direction. And you can certainly tell by those smoldering eyes- wowza!! Love them, dang brown eyes of mine!

Before Jennifer and I got home from the session we got this lovely e-mail.

Hello Ladies! I just wanted to say thank you for today! I had a great time...You both made me feel great (and sexy :) ) I think its great what you are doing for women!! Thanks again :)

It was the perfect incentive for me to stay up and finish these images so she could see how totally hot she was- her man is going to love these images of her!!

Jennifer and I are super excited to be off on a new adventure. We have teamed up to bring you I love Boudoir Photography!!!!

We are really hoping to bring you fun, flirty and exciting new images and let you get a chance to see what we have done and encourage you to have your own session done. You know you want to..... :) (Wink Wink)

Jennifer and I will probably need to start working out 24 hours a day and stop eating all together. Let me tell you, it's not easy having to stare at beautiful bodies all day after you've had 2 children.

And the greatest part is even if your body is fat free like most aren't- we surely can make you look like you are. We can hide all those dimples on one set of cheeks and highlight the ones on the proper set of cheeks. Now don't feel bad if you aren't a size 0. All women are beautiful and it's our job to show case your own beauty.

Your man will love you for this. We can't think of a better gift to give him, especially when he has no idea it's coming. I'm sure you are sick of giving your husband sports memorabilia like I do with mine. And we can only imagine the smile on his face when you give him this as a gift!
He may just do the dishes, he may just give you an extra long foot rub and he may even pick up his dirty underwear off the floor. You never know but it' s worth a shot to try it.
